Impact of COVID-19 on nutrition and food security in Venezuela
This videoconference discusses nutrition and food access in Venezuela in the face of the complex humanitarian emergency and the COVID-19 pandemic. The panel of experts includes:
Susana Raffalli
Nutritionist, accredited expert in Humanitarian Assistance and Protection in the fields of Food Security and Public
Nutrition.
Rodrigo Agudo
Chemical Engineer (Universidad Simón Bolívar), with a specialization in Management (Instituto de Estudios Superiores de
Administración IESA) with forty years working in the agriculture-food area, in the public, private and institutional
areas. Currently, he consults both nationally and internationally as the Director of the Agriculture-food Network of
Venezuela. He is also a member of the Technical Team of the Agriculture-Food Country Plan.
Maritza Landaeta
Doctor, Luis Razetti School, Universidad Central de Venezuela, with a Master in Food and Nutrition Planning. Social
Management. Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA). Promoter member of the Bengoa Foundation for Food
and Nutrition.
